Were’ performing in/on the Faroe Islands to kick off our 2013 UK tour. We’ve never been there but hear that it’s a beautiful place! This is from the festival website- Information The Country and Blues Festival is held in Sørvágur on the Faroe Islands. It is the only festival on the Faroes devoted to the musical genres of country and blues. The first Country and Blues Festival was held in 2012 on June 8th and 9th. The festival got around 2000 visitors and the feedback has been very positive. The first festival hosted the biggest names in Faroese country and blues. 18 band participated, including: • Evi Tausen • Hallur Joensen • Kristina Bærendsen • Uni Debess Two foreign names also attended • Venche Hartman – a renowned Danish country singer. • Henning Stærk – also from Denmark. He is best known for mixing country rock with blues. 2013 This year we are pleased to announce that Eve Selis will be headlining on Saturday 8th of June. The main act for Friday is not out yet, but will be announced at the end of March.
